Ukrainian Centennial Park

The Greater Rochester Ukrainian-American Community is currently celebrating
100 years of settlement in the Rochester area. To commemorate this centennial,
we urge you to participate in helping us create a permanent, tangible
link to Rochester's Ukrainian community and rich local heritage. There
are presently over 25,000 Ukrainian-Americans in Monroe County, and this
community has become an essential part of Rochester's ethnic diversity,
which is the basis of American society. In honor of the first Ukrainian
immigrants, your forefathers, and the dreams they brought with then for
the lives of their families and future descendants, we plan to construct
an enduring landmark.
The Town of Irondequoit has permitted the Rochester Ukrainian community
to realize its vision on the Irondequiot Town Hall grounds through the
construction of what will be known as "The Ukrainian Centennial Park."
The park grounds will include a beautiful commemorative monument designed
and constructed by a sculptor commissioned specifically for this project.
Naturally, the expenses of such an undertaking are great and therefore
the committee has initiated a "Buy-A-Brick" campaign. Individuals,
Church groups, businesses, organizations, clubs, and financial institutions
are invited to purchase a commemorative brick, which will become a tangible
part of the Ukrainian Centennial Park.
Your purchase/contribution is tax deductible and will directly contribute
to the construction of this amazing project. Below is a link that will
take you to the "Buy-A-Brick" campaign
form. Payment can be made with a check or credit card and sent to:
